2:17 PM (in response to Stuart) I too have a Windows 7 64-bit machine that is unable to access the APC private network. Here is what I have worked out so far. First matter of issue is that when I start the ISX Manager Client, I get a message that pops up saying 'APC InfraStruXure Manager LSP Install Failed with win32 error code 1603'.

When I consulted Google about this error message, I found out that error code 1603 = ERRORINSTALLFAILURE. So, I uninstalled the client (which then pops up some error message and then asks you to reboot after uninstallation). After uninstalling, I tried to figure out how to get the installation package so I could try to install it using compatability mode for windows XP. I could tell that during the installation, it downloads an MSI file and then runs it through internet explorer, so I thought maybe I could just download that MSI and then set up the compatability settings. Say your ISX server is 192.168.1.250, you would go to to pull up the webpage and install the client normally. You can instead go to and download the MSI installation file. Then, I found out that MSI files do not let you run/install them with any form of compatability to previous versions of windows.
This leaves me where I'm at now, which is knowing that there is an error during installation, I just need to find out the specifics of what/why and see if there is a workaround. I'm not sure if it is just merely trying to reference a.dll that is no longer present or what. I have heard that people have run this client on windows vista without any problems, which strikes me as odd because windows 7 is not much different than vista.
Anybody on here installed/run the ISX Manager Client on windows vista 64 bit? 3/24/2010 2:53 PM (in response to Doug) here is a suggestion that I have. If you uninstall the client completely from your Vista or Windows 7 computer (via control panel), and then go ahead and reinstall it - so either by reconnecting to the ISX manager and saving the installer file that it prompts you with or by using the.msi file attached to this post, you can try and right click on the file and do a Run as administrator to reinstall the client file with full administrative rights.
See if that works - someone told me that they have had luck doing that. Let me know if that works.
