Hey everybody, I've been going around this site in amazement thinking how many of my favorite programs I could use out of the house, so I decided to try it with Flash MX 2004. Now bear with me this is my first portabilized application so there will be some registry entries left over. Install and authorize your copy of Flash MX 2004, then navigate to the programs main folder (in my case C: Program Files Macromedia Flash MX 2004 ).
Make a folder to hold the program's files (I recommend directly on your flashdrive, that is if you have about 32 MB to spare). Copy the following files and folders to the folder you have just created. Flash.exe xerces-c210.dll en Configuration ActionScript en Configuration Components en Configuration Icons en Configuration Importers en Configuration Libraries en Configuration authplay.dll en Configuration configuration.xml en Configuration FlashResources.dll en Configuration PSFONT.TXT 4. Export HKEYLOCALMACHINE SOFTWARE Macromedia from your registry.

Come back to this post and tell me how it worked! NOTE: You will have to install the registry files before you run the program. I wouldn't bother with this, copying installed program files to a USB Drive, and exporting a few registry entries doesn't make a program portable. There's a lot more to it than that. In most cases whenever you then run that program from the USB drive it will simply create new registry entries on every computer that you use, leaving them behind each time.
Macromedia Flash MX is a product developed by Macromedia. This site is not directly affiliated with Macromedia. All trademarks, registered trademarks, product names and company names or logos mentioned herein are the property of their respective owners.
In some cases the program won't even run at all on other computers, just the one it was originally installed on. I believe there are some ways to get Flash working with Firefox Portable, try a search of these forums.
